apparently there is some great sporting event on at the moment

Part of me is convinced the Soccer World Cup is a media beat up.

No really.

I mean, how could so many people care?

And furthermore, how could so many people be able to tolerate incessant plastic trumpeting?

And one more thing,  those footballers with long hair who wear a thin headband right on their hairline but with their long locks not tied back? Makes my neck itch. I mean, how sweaty and gross. Someone pass them an elastic. Please.

And let me let you in on a little secret:
One team will win, one team will lose (it’s an outrageous outcome I know)
A vast portion of the losing team supporters will blame poor refereeing,
A small proportion will do something stupid like cry while praying and looking to the heavens while
A baffling proportion will do something ludicrous like damage public property or someone else’s private property or start a riot involving rolling cars and setting fire to them.
Preferably not their own.
Winning team supporters will dance in the streets shaking their national flag and leering in too close into tv camera lenses while soaked, internally and externally, in some form of alcohol.
A small proportion will do something stupid like cry while praying and looking to the heavens while
A baffling proportion will do something ludicrous like damage public property or someone else’s private property or start a riot involving rolling cars and setting fire to them.
Preferably not their own.
It is guaranteed there will be no consensus on the outcome
And it will all happen again in a couple of years.

I mean,really, total madness.

School holidays so very tired

Oh peoples, I am so very tired.
Seriously.
And my right boob really hurts.
Grover seems to have dropped the midnight feed and oh my lord it has created all manner of lumpy hell for the mammaries.
But I am happy about the dropped feed.
I’m sure it will lead to more sleep soon.
As soon as I start going to bed earlier and get a big block of sleep.
There’s lots to say but then there isn’t at all.
The cleaning spell has continued.
It’s almost there.
Today was a good drying day.
It was also mum’s birthday. I took her to high tea at The Gunner’s Barracks. It was lovely. Really really lovely.
The boys are home on holidays.
We’re just chilling and they seem OK with it.
I’m bracing myself to do something with them tomorrow.
But four boys + just me + wide open spaces = head exploding.
I should post something to entertain you all. Something from Youtube. The photo of high tea off my phone. But they all require effort.
Please excuse me as I go lie on the lounge.
