Turning three – a photographic essay. Of sorts.

All day there was a little voice saying ‘happy birthday to me! I three now’ as if it was the most marvellous surprise of all time.

There is never enough Thomas the Effing Engine when you’re turning three. There was a puzzle, a new Thomas and battery powered jet engine, some giggling naughty trucks, new pjs, undies and library bag.

Curiously he did not want a repeat performance of Thomas the Effing Scary Engine c. 2007
but a ladybird cake. Much nicer.
On all levels.

We had our family over and there was much sparkling shiraz and handball in the backyard. Our family get togethers are so lovely and non-stressful. This photo sums up the emotion of the day:

There were many paparazzi shots of the cake cutting.

An awesome day for the child high on life.
