Things I realised today

I really can’t tolerate laziness. And yes, it is different to procrastinating.

The energy I draw from having Jasper on my lap going in to work and coming home from it is massive.

I really really really like burrito wraps, they don’t need to be burritos, it’s just the texture and taste of the wrap-bread. I’m basically addicted at the moment.

How much I wish my life was different, but how happy I am with it anyway. Weird.

That watching friends – on the cusp of new love (and them realising they are in love when we’d all been hoping and they hadn’t really acknowledged or realised it) – is exhilerating and mesmerising and makes me re-realise what I have with Chef.

Christmas is so close and I haven ‘t started baking or shopping. This year we’re doing a real tree (we have a very large, very impressive fake one) and the boys are so excited. Our current $$$ fiasco is making all of this quite difficult to plan/pay for and quite stressful.

And that I have stuff I need to post here but have been holding off doing so for myriad reasons and now it just seems weird that it’s not here but I don’t really know how to introduce it.

So maybe I’ll just redirect you all to here and you can figure it out.

    What a Christmas present!

    Are you okay?

You alluded to this in another post, I think?
Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS! It makes sense to have children in pairs. They can be the best of friends and the worst of enemies without even leaving home! Yay!

Wishing you a very happy and healthy pregnancy. And are your meds ok for pregnancy?

  • Kim

No – cold turkey off meds.
    Am “fine”
and many thanks for your congratulations! We’re still in a state of shock.

Horray!!!! How far along are you???! We are preggers together .. how exciting. Congratulations – four kids. Holy guacamole!

You know how you sort of adopt a pregnant celebrity who is at about the same stage as you – well you are my pregnant celebrity 😀

Oh, and I know what you mean about being scared shitless and sort of excited at the same time. I have never liked being pregnant, it is so TIRESOME. So tiring and so many visits to the doctor, hospital, scanning place, etc etc.
But that all goes out the window when the new baby arrives and it just seems like the ONE thing you always wanted 🙂

Congratulations! Wow – I think I’m in shock for you 🙂 But I still think it is wonderful – and I remember way back reading a post/comment of yours where you said you weren’t “done” with three children – so here’s to number four!

    You’re what?! Get Out! 🙂
And this “cusp of love” thing… How strange. But, it’s nice to reflect on what you have and to be pleasantly happy. Although, I don’t really know if there is such a thing as un-pleasantly happy.

Congratulations!! My mother keeps looking at me and saying you’re not having another one are you, what with your age and your terrible finances which of course makes me think maybe I will but only in a rebellious way! Scary finances are awful I know, but the kids don’t starve. Good luck!

  • Kim

Well Stomper – if you read the subsequent posts you’ll read my Mum’s highly memorable spate of responses.

  • Joke

    YAY!

P.S. Stress is not a form of aerobically beneficial exercise.

  • Stomper Girl

I read them and you have ALL my sympathy. I don’t know your Mum but I have this theory that when a woman reaches 60-odd, her self-censorship microchip is disconnected and from then on she just says whatever the fuck pops into her head, especially to her daughter 🙂
