Weekend round-up

Killer came over for dinner on Saturday. I did 7-hour lamb with mash and broccolini and sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

The 7-hour lamb
1 large leg of lamb
1 bottle of dry white wine
1 large onion, finely sliced
1 carrot, chopped
several cloves of garlic, unpeeled

– marinate the lamb overnight in the wine with all the other ingredients
– preheat oven to 150C
– brown leg of lamb
– put the lamb and all the marinade in baking dish
– throw in some herbs – thyme, bay leaves, oregano
– bake for 7 hours
